Find plenty of local color at the Farmers' Market

     “Did you know that if your plate has lots of color to it, chances are you are also enjoying a wide selection of vitamins and minerals?” asks Pampered Chef consultant Deirdre Darrow, who reminds residents that the Canyon Lake Farmers’ Market is brimming with new fruits and vegetables to choose from every week. So, what’s new this week? Fresh, sweet, locally grown strawberries, says Deirdre, who urges shoppers to stop by this Sunday for a taste. The market is more than just fresh fruits, vegetables and flowers, though; Deirdre can be seen each week at the market at her Pampered Chef booth, as well as Canyon Laker Kim Haftachek, who offers Swiss health and beauty items. Gourmet dog and cat food, custom-made clothing for pets, even hand-raised birds can be found each Sunday in the upper section of the Towne Center parking lot from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
