In Memoriam: Elsie Haller

     Former longtime resident, Elsie Marie Haller, 87, lost her battle with cancer on January 16 at her home in Sun City with her family by her side. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Ralph.
     Before moving to Sun City, Elsie and Ralph lived in Canyon Lake for 16 years. They loved to fish and enjoyed traveling in their motor home with the Roadrunners. Elsie was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Menifee, where she loved to sing in the choir. She also sang in the play, “The Sound of Music.” Elsie volunteered at Hospice and Senior Foods. She enjoyed playing shuffleboard, swimming and walking with friends.
     Elsie is survived by her three sons: Gary of Mojave Valley, Arizona, Roger of Sun City and Scott of Canyon Lake; sisters Frances Blohm and Carolyn Mulloy, of Stuttgart, Arkansas; brothers Walter and Merlin Kirchoff, of Stuttgart, Arkansas; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Her brothers Marvin and Bobby Kirchoff preceded her in death.
     Elsie will be greatly missed by family and friends. Memorial services will be held today, January 23, at 11 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 26800 Newport Rd. in Menifee.
