In Memoriam: Dean Blade

     Dean Blade, longtime resident of Canyon Lake, passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness on January 17, 2009 at the age of 82. Dean and his wife Sandy moved to Canyon Lake in 1988. Before retiring, he was an inspector with the Los Angeles County Sanitation Department. Dean served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
     His daughter, Kathy, preceded Dean in death in 1995. Sandy, his wife of 53 years, survives him, along with two sons, Michael of Canyon Lake and Ron of Tennessee, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Family members say he is missed already.
     Donations can be made in Dean’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society. At Dean’s request, a memorial service will not be held.
