An incident occurred in the 30,000 block of Rim Rock Pl. that could have been the source of rumors a week ago.

Movie Reviews by Reel People: 'Hereafter'
“Do you believe in the hereafter? Then you know what I’m here after.” That was the “dirty old man” joke from TV’s Laugh-In in late ’60s. But, Clint Eastwood’s latest international masterpiece just might be perceived as a joke to some. Sure, it is intelligent, thoughtful and beautiful, but is also meandering, somber and particularly deliberate (slow).
Announcement: Thanks for the memories
A cocktail party was held at the Lodge on October 23 to give golfers and other residents a chance to express their appreciation to the former golf pro and his staff: Dave Lindeman, Jerry Hefferon and Sean McClosky.

Virginia Marshall is grateful to all the faithful residents of Canyon Lake who have donated bottles and cans to the “Blue Boxes” that she has placed daily at Canyon Lake parks and beaches since last April for NAMI, The National Alliance on Mental Illness.
Letter: Concert kudos
I would like to thank those who made the Marine Corps Band Concert a success. My uppermost thanks go to the band itself. The selection of music and the professionalism displayed in their superb performance was outstanding.
Letter: Why stay incorporated?
If Hugh Wagoner starts the ball rolling, the rest of us property owners will follow. I’m sure that by now we all know the real reason for incorporating. We were doing much better before incorporation. Friends and relatives of Canyon Lake officials will need to find other jobs.
Letter: Aware of issues
We will be casting our votes for Peter Weber for the office of director for the Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District (EVMWD). We have known Peter for years and he is very aware of the issues and problems facing Canyon Lake residents.
Letter: Special Enforcement
Regarding the Special Enforcement Team, do we really need these guys? What do they make per hour? Sounds to me like they’re doing the job of Community Patrol and Marine Patrol.
Letter: Approve Pepe's sign
Businesses in any community depend upon shoppers’ knowledge of where stores are located. The Canyon Lake Towne Center is well known to our community residents, but is perhaps not so obvious to motorists traveling through our City.
Letter: Good Samaritan
Thank you to the man in the canoe who rescued my husband Ralph and pulled him out of the Lake when Ralph fell off our boat dock and injured his back last Saturday morning while cleaning our pontoon at Shelter Cove near Spray and Yellow Feather.
Letter: Amnesty Program
Financial difficulties have hit the entire world, not just Canyon Lake. To name a few of these problems are job loss, health care and legal obligations, among others too many to list.
Letter: Gutless thief
Election season is in full swing and the childish acts are in play. I refer to the stealing of political signs by a thief with opposing signs in his yard.
Letter: Enough is enough
I agree with Randy Helton’s letter last week. Seems Patrol has been instructed to write more tickets for the speed limit violators going over 15 mph on two of the three main streets for ingress and egress in our community. What is wrong with this picture?
Letter: Chili Cook-Off thanks
The Canyon Lake Jr. Women’s Club would like to send out a huge “thank you” to everyone involved with the annual JWC Chili Cook-Off. It was a great success and a whole lot of fun!
Letter: Amnesty an insult
We as a society must stop rewarding bad behavior. It’s simple. While I feel for those who have truly fallen on hard times, the POA is proposing to forgive the fines levied for bad behavior.
Letter: Home Owners Club equipment
This letter is regarding a key and equipment belonging to the Home Owners Club shed at the Campground. As president of the Home Owners Club, I recently went down to the shed to get some license plate frames for the POA sales. To my surprise, the lock was hanging open and one of our roaster ovens was missing.
Letter: Set the record straight
The false statements by my opponent were obviously made without diligent research or proper analysis. Normally I would not consider them worthy of comment, but I must set the record straight to validate your trust in me.
Letter: Support candidate
There are rarely people in a community who can be counted on to serve one entity, not only as a matter of occupation but also for love of their community. Ben Wicke is one such person.
Letter: Support teachers
Out with the old and in with the new. What is best for students has always been the focus of Lake Elsinore Teachers and California School Classified Employees.
Letter: Think twice before voting
I met with the LEUSD and the entire school board back in June of 2009 at their request regarding a proposal our company made to build a Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) plant that would initially save LEUSD $2,000,000 per year on electricity for the first five years.

I refinanced my home recently. When I received the Deed of Trust, it was incorrect.
