Fiesta Day

The parade is only the beginning of the fun on Fiesta Day, but what a beginning it is! While the parade schedule is already set, two groups will accept last minute entries, according to Parade Coordinator Vonnie Kent. They are the veterans brigade and the pet brigade. |

Pepe's liquor license to be suspended after July 4
Pepe’s Mexican Restaurant and Cantina has negotiated with the Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) for a start date of July 7 for a 30-day suspension of its liquor license. The restaurant and bar will remain open during the suspension but will be serving only non-alcoholic beverages July 8 to August 6.

Brian Christensen, a junior at California Lutheran High School in Wildomar, has been named the Arrowhead League’s Most Valuable Player for the 2010 baseball season.
Announcement: Car Club
Canyon Lake Car Club members volunteered May 15 to pick up litter along Railroad Canyon Rd. for the City’s “Adopt-a-Road” program. Members of the Car Club are sharing the monthly duty with the Motorcycle Club to keep Canyon Lake’s main thoroughfare free of trash and clutter. The Car Club Car of the Month was a '55 Chevy owned by Don Norris.

Adopt-a-pet: Bandit and Nicole
This week’s pets are Bandit and Nicole. Bandit is a playful and loving 9-month old black and tan German shepherd mix male. Nicole is a pretty 8-week-old seal point domestic medium haired kitten. She has several littermates of various colors that are available, too.

Fiesta Day fun will take place Saturday
With the theme, “Fiesta Day Gone Country,” tomorrow’s Fiesta Day festivities have been planned around the small town pleasures of food, shopping and entertainment with friends and family.

Boat inspection program to begin Tuesday
In order to protect Canyon Lake from invasive quagga mussels, the Property Owners Association has initiated a Quagga Mussel Boat Inspection Program that will begin Tuesday, June 1.
Looking forward to Taco Tuesday, Movie Nights
Taking advantage of warm evenings and a lovely setting overlooking the Lake at the Lodge and Sunset Beach, Taco Tuesday will begin a week from Tuesday on June 8, and continue for 13 weeks through August 31. The motto, “Something for Everyone,” includes entertainment and a menu provided by Taco Del Mar.
Youth Tennis Program to be held on Thursdays
Tennis Pro Baba Soysa will be running an eight-week Summer Tennis Program for kids, beginning Thursday, June 17, and ending Thursday, August 5.
Summer schedule begins at the pool
Memorial Day weekend marks the first weekend of summer and changes in the Pool schedule and water aerobics schedule, as well as the opportunity to register for swim lessons.
