Crime Stats

Above, the Bi-weekly Crime Stats for August 3 to 16, 2010 were prepared by Riverside County Sheriff's Perris Station. As indicted in the Canyon Lake Police Department's Public Safety Report on August 31, CLPD handled 398 files in the month of August, down from 426 in July. The following stats are more comprehensive than those pictured in the charts above: During the month of August, there were 18 Part 1 crimes, down from 34 in July. There were two assaults (domestic violence arrests), up from one in July; four burglaries, down from six; zero vehicle burglaries, down from one; nine general thefts, down from 17 in July and 20 in June; three vehicle thefts (golf carts), up from two (golf carts were recovered and three suspects were arrested); six vandalisms, down from 13; 25 general disturbance calls; zero public intoxication, down from two; and 16 arrests. There were 99 traffic citations, four DUI arrests and three traffic collisions.
