Pismo Beach Golf Getaway

     One hundred twenty Canyon Lake residents, 98 of them golfers, escaped the heat August 23 to 25 to go on a golf outing in Pismo Beach. The outing was organized by Joe Kamashian and Fran Pothier; it was not affiliated with the Travel Club, the Men’s Golf Club or Women’s Golf Club. The group’s accommodations were at the Oxford Suites Hotel for three nights. The golfers played two rounds at the Cypress Ridge Golf Course in Arroyo Grande. On the last evening, there was a hosted cocktail party, followed by a barbecued buffet dinner and awards. “A good time was had by all,” says Fran. “Many, if not all, are looking forward to next year.”
