Photo of the week: Ski jump

     Photographer Keith Jenkin says he was driving home on Longhorn Dr. and noticed a skier doing spectacular jumps in the Jump Lagoon. It was a guy or girl "getting major air," according to Keith, who says the lagoon is usually quiet. Keith grabbed his “ad hoc opportunity” camera from the glove box (Canon SD800) and took this shot before the jumper retired. "It was a really cool sight to see a skier fly like that right here in Canyon Lake, and not on ESPN," he says. This “Photo of the Week” feature provides an opportunity for photographers, both amateur and professional, to share their work. The only qualifications are that photos must be of life in Canyon Lake and they must be clear and well lighted. A horizontal format is also recommended due to space constraints.
