Committee Updates: Get involved, serve on a committee

     Residents have the opportunity to get involved in many aspects of community life by volunteering to serve on Property Owners Association Committees. There are 18 standing committees and six ad-hoc committees, the members of which meet together regularly to discuss areas of concern within their jurisdiction, research possible solutions and make suggestions to the POA Board of Directors for changes or improvements.
     Among the committees in need of volunteers are Appeals, Fairway Estates, Fiesta Day, Fitness and Recreation, Lake and Marina, Long Range Planning, Parks and Beaches, Technology and Senior.
     Those interested in serving on a committee can pick up an application at Member Services Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Or they can download an application at canyonlakepoa.com (select "Document Center," then "Forms"). Completed applications go to Corporate Relations Administrator Lynn Jensen, who will forward them to the committee and Board of Directors for Review.
