Out with the old

Dancing and cocktails will always be a special feature at Pepe's Mexican Restaurant and Cantina, but the old sign touting this activity, along with the rest of the landmark pylon that marked one's arrival in Canyon Lake, was dismantled Monday to make way for a new 24-foot high, 10-foot wide multi-tenant pylon sign with LED message board. It wasn't clear at the time of publication whether rain would delay installation of the new sign, but it was scheduled to go up this week. To learn more, see the story, "Pylon sign - out with the old, in with the new."
