Women’s Golf Club
     The Ladies “Best Buds” Valentine’s Tournament will be held on February 8. The shotgun four-person scramble will begin at 8 a.m. followed by lunch at the Country Club. For tournament information, contact Linda Johnson at 244-8852.
     The Canyon Lake Women’s Golf Club meets regularly on Tuesdays to play 18 holes of golf. CLWGC is a member of the Women’s Southern California Golf Association, which is responsible for handicapping services for the members. Applications are available in the Golf Shop. Men’s Golf Club
     The Men’s Golf Club will hold its first tournament of the year, the Sweetheart Tournament, on February 12. The tournament is open to all Men’s Golf Club members and will begin with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. A luncheon will be held at the Country Club immediately following the tournament. The entry fee is $32 per person and includes lunch and prizes. Golf green and cart fees are not included. Early registration is recommended as this tournament sold out last year, and only 144 spots are available. Sign up at the Pro Shop, where tournament details are also available.      The Men’s Golf Club is a member of the Southern California Golf Association (SCGA) and holds regular open meetings the first Wednesday of each month in the Magnolia Room at the Country Club. For membership information, contact Bruce Yarbrough at 244-8753.

9ers Golf Club
     Canyon Lake women are invited to “Valentine’s Day” with the 9ers Golf Club, playing nine holes only, on Thursday, February 10. Participants are reminded to wear red and arrive by 9:30 a.m. for a 10 a.m. tee time. Green fees are not included. There will be a no-host social luncheon at the Country Club following the event. A sign-up list is available in the Pro Shop. Sign-up by February 6.
     The 9ers Golf Club plays nine holes on Thursday mornings. All beginner and advanced golfers as well as new members are welcome. The 9ers Golf Club is a member of the Women’s Southern California Golf Association. For information on tee times, call Martha Golia at 246-2099 or Diana Castillo at 244-2898.

Senior Men’s Nine-holers
     The Senior Men’s Nine-holers invites senior men to play on Thursday mornings at 8:30 a.m. The cost is $7 to play – $4 is applied for snacks afterward and $3 to the prize fund. A signup sheet can be found at the Pro Shop. For more information, contact Larry Mensch at 244-3219.

Family Golf Club
     The 8th annual Rich Hamilton birthday tournament was held on January 31 in association with the Canyon Lake Family Golf Club. Over 50 golfers were present for the event. The winning team was Jim Braddock and Scott Buckley, who had a total net team score of 62. POA gift cards were issued as prizes and participants were treated to a buffet of appetizers at the end of the event. The club would like to thank the Pro Shop and the Country Club, as well as everyone who participated.
     The Family Golf Club is a member of the Southern California Golf Association (SCGA) and the Interstate Golf Association (IGA). It holds open meetings the third Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. in the Magnolia Room at the Country Club. Members play every Wednesday and Saturday at noon.
